Autumn in London

It was the best time of the year. Especially since we were in London !
I absolutely love the autumn in London.
Last year during our honeymoon, we spent a full week in London - the city where I grew up.
Coming to London at 18, I spent the most prominent time as a young creative in the city.
And I wanted to take my husband to the city that I love the most, to show London that I know.

We stayed at One Hundred Shoreditch, which I always passed by when I lived in the town.
I loved the vibe and the room was lovely, not to mention the amazing breakfast at the roof bar.

When I am in London, going to markets is one of the biggest joy for me.
I took Kyu to Broadway Market, walking across Hackney through Columbia Road.

Shoreditch was the first neighbourhood I lived in, and it is the most meaningful town for me.

Every Saturday, I visited Broadway Market for fruit and olive shopping, and for the amazing cup of coffee.
A butterfly merchant used to come from time to time, I wondered if he would be there.
He didn’t come this time, unfortunately.

Kyu loved to see the cheese vendor, and of course, he bought several chunks of cheese from them.

We headed to the central, so we walked all the way back through Hackney Road and went past Hoxton Square.
I loved going to White Cube when they were still here.
Seeing works by Rachel Kneebone from the top floor of the gallery was one of the most unforgettable moments for me.
I once organised a group exhibition with my friends at the end of my second year in college, renting out a basement space from a bar.

Since Serpentine Gallery was holding an exhibition of Georg Baselitz’ sculptures, we decided to go to Hyde Park.
I saw his painting exhibitions several times, but sculpture sounded new to me.
And I fell in love with the human figures roughly carved out of wood, they looked wild but not aggressive, they were friendly and warm, even had a sense of humour.

Closed the day with a beer at a local pub - Kyu loves to have beer at pubs.
It was the first time for me to walk into this one, which is right around the corner from one of our college campuses.
Every pub in town had spider webs, and I loved the atmosphere.
