I love the autumn in London. During our honeymoon, we spent a full week in London - the city where I grew up.Coming to London at 18, I spent the most prominent time as a young creative in the city. And I wanted to take Kyu to the city that I love the most, to show him London that I know. We loved breakfast at the rooftop bar. When I am in London, going to markets is one of the biggest joy for me.I took Kyu to Broadway Market, walking across Hackney through Columbia Road. Shoreditch was the first neighbourhood that I lived in.Every Saturday, I visited Broadway Market for fruit and olive shopping, and for an amazing cup of coffee.A butterfly merchant used to come from time to time, I wondered if he would be there. He didn't come this time, unfortunately. Kyu loved the cheese vendor, and he bought several chunks of cheese from there. We headed to the central, so we walked all the way back through Hackney Road and went past Hoxton Square.I used to love going to White Cube when it was still there.Seeing works by Rachel Kneebone from the top floor of the gallery was one of the most unforgettable moments for me.I once organised a group exhibition with my friends at the end of my second year in college, renting a basement space from a bar in Hoxton Square. CINDY ANKLE 60 Wine was perfect for styling, and for walking all day long.I love how I can tuck the pants in, and the silhouette looks perfect. Since Serpentine Gallery was holding an exhibition of Georg Baselitz' sculptures, our next destination became Hyde Park. I saw his painting exhibitions several times, but seeing his sculpture works was a new experience.I loved the human figures roughly carved out of huge chunks of wood. They looked wild but not aggressive, rather friendly with a sense of humour. We closed the day with a beear at a local pub. While living in London, I've hardly ever been to pubs - I always went home early after studio work or a research session at a library... but Kyu loves to go to pubs. We were there during Halloween weeks, every pub in town had spider webs all around their entrances. Our mornings were filled with a big dish full of pancakes, huge bowl of granolas, and good coffee.Re-visiting cafes I love was a big happiness for me.And of course, the week was all about visiting galleries. Postcards from Photographers' Gallery HEATHER Cinnamon was a very good companion for me.It feels really nice sliding my feet into this pair - made with supple Italian cow hide. They matched with the mood and the colours of London, too. Yayoi Kusama's inatallation works were on display, and Phillip Guston's major exhibition was going on.We visited Tate Modern twice during the trip.I was very happy that Kyu liked it, too. In fact his favourite experience from the trip was the dance performance that we saw from Sadler's Wells.I used to go to Sadler's Wells very often on my own, sometimes almost monthly when I was less busy from school. When we were there, Maude Le Pladec's 'Twenty-Seven Perspectives' was going on.Every movement was so beautiful, it looked simple but we know that it's not.The harmony and the interaction between dancers felt amazing, and the choice of music was very nice.Schubert's 'Unfinished Symphony (Symphony No. 8)'.We will never forget. Yayoi Kusama, 'Chandelier of Grief', 2016/2018. Walking along the bankside with Kyu, I discovered many things that I simply passed by before. He is such a wonderful companion in everything, he fills my gaps. Falafels♥︎ An artwork by Rob Phillips, Creative Director at London College of Fashion - my school.I was happy to find it by accident, so I took a picture of it.On one of my birthdays, I was working on my final pair of shoes for the Press Show at the studio in Golden Lane.I took bus to go to Rob's garage sale for paintings and drawings, and purchased one.I still have it in my studio, it makes me feel so good. We are going back to London soon, after our first presentation in Paris.I can't wait.It will make me happier this time, my home sweet home. CINDY ANKLE 60 Wine HEATHER Cinnamon
