GUARDIAN MONSTERS EXHIBITION - Epilogue

Pleiades began with a collection presented in London, 2017, and launched with Spring-Summer 2018 season in Seoul.

Creating ‘shoes that are nowhere else’, Pleiades presents collections through thorough research towards Korean traditional craft - such as Madeup (knot), Nubi (quilting), Korean traditional shoes and hand-dyed silk fabric. Each collection evolves fuelled with the designer’s originality and the season’s story.

2017 in London, Pleiades collaborated with an Italian last company to come up with an original design, with a curvy toe shape - reminiscing Korean traditional shoes.
Re-created Nubi on the surface of sheepskin, and re-constructed European lingerie details on the shoes.
The designer made international calls to Korea day and night, to source Korean silk with the quality that she would be happy with.
After the successful final year show at London College of Fashion, Min Heo returns to Seoul to tell the story that she has to continue.

Pleiades’ stories - pushing boundaries between cultures and times - restlessly create genuine collections season after season.
Rather than seductive stiletto heels, we make shoes for urban women - with all-day comfort and unique beauty for each pair.

From this exhibition, we tell the stories from our brand new ‘Guardian Monsters’ series, “GUARDIAN MONSTERS : THE BEGINNING”.

“Hiding between layers of time, the monsters kidnap and punish people with bad intentions, while rewarding the good ones - keeping balance in this world.”

It all began with the stone sculptures in old Korean architecture and palaces. Rather friendly than frightening, the monsters had protected us from fire hazard and bad luck for centuries.
The baby monsters from “GUARDIAN MONSTERS : THE BIRTH”, existing as blurry shadows chasing after our heroine - are now completed with each one’s unique power.
‘LUNA Dragon’, ‘TASHA Jujak’, ‘KEIRA Haetae’, ‘JOANNE Baekho’ and ‘JONATHAN Hyunmu’ are going to show you the compelling adventures they are about to face with.
