Hello Dear Readers,

Today I would like to tell you about our latest collection, ‘Voyagers’.
For Autumn-Winter collections, I tend to focus more on the materials and the shapes, and the overall mood - whereas I spend a lot of time on development and drawings for the Spring-Summer ones.

For this season, I wanted to talk about the heroines - people who are not afraid of the adventures, finding their own paths, and achieving their goals.

To begin with, I made several drawings after watching the popular movies, ‘Star Wars’ series and ‘Dune’.
I remember that I cherished the Queen Amidala & Padmé in my childhood, probably because she is a young and beautiful queen who is also a warrior.

And Chani, of course, is one of my recent favourites - not to mention Zendaya’s fabulous fashion and coolness.

I also read Ursula Le Guin’s ‘Earthsea’ series, and found a girl named ‘Tenar / Arha’.
She was chosen to become the high priestess and lived in a castle, only learning about rituals and dances to worship their gods who are rocks with the darkest, ancient power, but she had her awakening moment and was rescued by a wizard. She is very inspiring.

VIOLETTA, MARION and FLORENCE.

They are what I present to you this season :)

And we absolutely love them, hope you like them as much as we do.

VIOLETTA has always been on my sketch papers.
I wanted to make a pair of tassel boots that is not so overwhelming or vintage-looking.
For VIOLETTA, I created an oversized-fit ankles to create the shape and the style.
And the tassels are slightly angled from the back to the front, to create more dynamics.
You will see the difference when you style them with your outfits.

MARION is part of the CINDY family.

I thought you will love to have a pair of really nice square-toe loafers with all that classic ‘penny loafer’ details, but ‘edgier’.

I added the our signature oversized outsoles & heels, and made them with high-quality oil pull-up cow leather. They are so chic, I am wearing them right now ;)

FLORENCE is the lovelier, softer version of the ‘Voyagers’ family.

I brought them to my recent trip to Tokyo, I will post about it soon.

I paid extra attention to the colour and the texture when choosing the materials.

The combination of our original shape and the loafer details, make a gorgeous pair of shoes -

Here I am sharing a little bit of ‘behind-the-scene’, the development process.
For this collection I paid an extra attention to the shape, so it took me a while to choose the right last to draw on.

I took the look book pictures for ‘Voyagers’ myself.

It was an interesting project thinking about the right colours, lightings and the angles that I wanted to present to you.

For those of you who want to see the the colours and the materials under the natural light though, here are the pictures from our studio on a sunny day :)

We’ve added more colours to VIOLETTA and FLORENCE - black suede and mulberry red suede.

The mulberry red was especially challenging, but we are very happy with the result.

They will be perfect for your end-of-year & beginning-of-year season stylings, and you know, red shoes are special !

For VIOLETTA, although we love the silver one, I knew there must be a lot of you who were waiting for the black version. The chic black, with more tranquility and flexibility in styling.
