City of Verona

Our trip to Italy in 2025 has started.

Not only because Kyu and I adore Italy so much, but our presentation also takes place in Milan every year.
This year I have prepared so much for the fashion week in Milan, and I was very excited to show my collection in one of my favourite cities in the world again.

For Kyu, it was a vacation that he’s been looking forward to so much.
And he was ready to fill his luggage with authentic Italian wine bottles on his way back.

Before we prepare for the show, we decided to visit Verona for a day trip.
Even though I lived in Milan for a whole year, I’ve never been to this neighbouring city which is so famous for its history and the tragic tale of Romeo & Juliet.

The day seemed to be cloudy in the morning, and we had to take an early train right after the long flight from Seoul to Milan.
We filled our stomachs with brioches and un caffè.
While waiting for the train, we purchased one book each to read during the ride - mine was ‘Brief Answers to the Big Questions’ by Stephen Hawking.

Finally arriving in Verona, I could feel the summer heat - it was so much warmer than I expected, but the sky was clear and blue!

I love strolling along the small cities of Italy.

My pick for the day was : ALINA 80.
It was the first time wearing them, but it served my all day trip so well.
PLEIADES has a very unique and fabulous collection of ankle boots, last year I wore CINDY all day every day during autumn-winter seasons and this year I intend to try ALINA and SILVA.
Hopefully I can share some styled pictures with you :)

What is your pick?

As always, Kyu managed to find this wonderful place to lunch.
It is a local restaurant run by lovely people who speak perfect English and serve amazing food.

Kyu ordered donkey and horse.
A vegan dish off-the-menu for me.

Their Pinot Grigio was fantastic, full of beautiful aroma.
Fun story, Kyu wanted to find out the name of the wine so badly that I called them up after coming back to Korea asking what the name of their Pinot Grigio is. I spoke in Italian and the lady seemed to be amused.

A stream of river is running across the city of Verona.
And the view was magnificent.
It reminded me of Firenze, but the buildings looked smaller and the full view of the village looked lovely, painted in the hue of burnt sienna as if coated in chocolate.

Crossing river through the bridge, we found a stairway leading towards a castle.
We were tourists, so any road was for us to follow.
A more beautiful version of the town was soon to be discovered as we climb up the hill.

ALINA looked stunning among the beautiful scenery and the golden sunshine :)

Another amazing fact about Italy is that you can find a gelato place around every corner.
It turns out not every one of them is good, but this one was delicious -

Since it was my first time visiting Verona, I did go to Juliet’s house.
I didn’t like the idea of wishes come true by touching Juliet’s bosoms, and it was even worse looking at it in person.
I felt sorry for Juliet so I left as soon as I got there.

Waiting for our train back to Milan, we finally sat down for some rest.
It certainly was a memorable day trip, to be remembered for a very long time.
The blue sky, Pinot Grigio and the way to the castle, with Kyu :)

And another adventure was waiting for us in Milan!
